Parapente Tenerife is the name under which Enminube Parapente, based in La Laguna, runs tandem paragliding flights over Tenerife's volcanic landscape and the Atlantic. It is authorised by the Canary Islands Government's tourism department, and its pilots are qualified professionals with more than 30 years of experience. Flights take off from areas such as El Teide, the Orotava Valley, Puerto de la Cruz and the Güímar Valley, with flight video and transport included.

Surf school Tilegit Tenerife

Surf school Tilegit Tenerife, also known as Tilegit Surf, is a surf school in Playa de las Américas, in the south of Tenerife, with more than ten years of teaching at every level. Shaka Surf Tenerife

Fly2fun Tenerife

Fly2fun Tenerife runs paragliding flights over the north of the island from a base in Puerto de la Cruz. The Izaña take off sits between kilometres 33 and 34 of the TF-24 road, at 2300 metres above sea level, and the descent is usually a gliding flight down to the coast that opens with the Teide in full view. Whale Watch Tenerife

Friends of the Ocean - Tenerife Surf School

Franz Surf School is a surf school on Calle México in Playa de las Américas, on the southern coast of Tenerife. Maco Yacht – Whale Watching & Dolphin Tour Tenerife - Costa Adeje

Maco Yacht runs sailing trips out of Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje to watch whales and dolphins in the wild off the south of Tenerife. Two formats are offered: a shared outing in a small group of no more than eleven people, and a private trip with exclusive use of the boat. Tenerife Mana Kayak

The route follows the Los Cristianos cliffs as far as the spot the company calls Lovers Cave, and by its own account there is a good chance of seeing dolphins and turtles along the way. Instructors hand out the gear and cover the basics before the group sets off.

Astroland Tenerife

Astroland Tenerife runs guided stargazing in Teide National Park, on a private plot away from the roadside viewpoints and car parks where most such outings take place. The session combines professional telescopes, an explanation of the constellations and night-sky photography, with access to a mountain refuge that has a bathroom and a fireplace. Groups are kept small and the commentary is given in Spanish and English.

Maxicat

Maxicat runs catamaran excursions from Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife. Its main activity is the guided whale-watching trip along the island's south-western coast, using spacious vessels fitted out for tourist sailing. Stops for swimming and snorkelling form part of the outing, and a Canarian menu is served on board. The company also offers private charter for groups and events.

Overfly Tenerife

Overfly Tenerife is an adventure sports centre in Adeje that runs tandem paragliding flights over the south west coast of Tenerife. Three options are offered: the standard flight over Costa Adeje, the longer and higher Performance flight, and an acrobatic flight with wing overs and dynamic turns. FlyTenerife

FlyTenerife runs tandem paragliding flights in the south-west of Tenerife, with the meeting point on Avenida de Ayyo in Adeje. The pilots are certified by F.E.L.A. and F.A.E., count more than thirty years of flying and hold Spanish and Canary Islands championship titles.

A boat excursion operator based at the Los Gigantes marina, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. It runs three vessels, Flipper Uno, Masca Express and Los Rápidos, and devotes its sailings to watching whales and dolphins off the south-west of Tenerife. Xplore Tenerife Kayaking and Biking

An outdoor activity base in Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, a seven-minute walk from the bus station. The programme combines guided sea kayaking with snorkelling, with kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids, mask and snorkel, wetsuits in winter and dry containers supplied by the operator, and guided electric mountain bike rides through Teide National Park. Tenerife Sailing Charters

Tenerife Sailing Charters runs boat trips out of Puerto Colón, in Costa Adeje. Its website describes the sailing yacht Pecazul, forty feet long and taking up to eleven passengers, the motor boat No Worries for a maximum of ten people, and a boat given over to parasailing. Trips are booked either as a shared or as a private charter and take in whale and dolphin watching, swimming and snorkelling.

Diving Atlantis Tenerife

Diving Atlantis Tenerife is a dive centre based in Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona. The catalogue on its own website covers try dives for people going under for the first time, snorkelling outings, kayak routes, discounted dive packages for divers who already hold a certification, and diving with an underwater scooter. White Tenerife

A PADI 5 star dive centre in Costa Adeje, by Torviscas beach.
