FlyTenerife

FlyTenerife runs tandem paragliding flights in the south-west of Tenerife, with the meeting point on Avenida de Ayyo in Adeje. The passenger flies alongside a qualified pilot, and the routes cover the south and the north of the island and the area of the Teide National Park. The pilots are certified by F.E.L.A. and F.A.E., count more than thirty years of flying and hold Spanish and Canary Islands championship titles.

Flipper Uno

A boat excursion operator based at the Los Gigantes marina, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. It runs three vessels, Flipper Uno, Masca Express and Los Rápidos, and devotes its sailings to watching whales and dolphins off the south-west of Tenerife. Xplore Tenerife Kayaking and Biking

An outdoor activity base in Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, a seven-minute walk from the bus station. The programme combines guided sea kayaking with snorkelling, with kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids, mask and snorkel, wetsuits in winter and dry containers supplied by the operator, and guided electric mountain bike rides through Teide National Park. Tenerife Sailing Charters

Tenerife Sailing Charters runs boat trips out of Puerto Colón, in Costa Adeje. Its website describes the sailing yacht Pecazul, forty feet long and taking up to eleven passengers, the motor boat No Worries for a maximum of ten people, and a boat given over to parasailing. Trips are booked either as a shared or as a private charter and take in whale and dolphin watching, swimming and snorkelling.

Diving Atlantis Tenerife

Diving Atlantis Tenerife is a dive centre based in Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona. The catalogue on its own website covers try dives for people going under for the first time, snorkelling outings, kayak routes, discounted dive packages for divers who already hold a certification, and diving with an underwater scooter. Training follows the PADI system, from first steps up to the professional grade of Divemaster.

White Tenerife

White Tenerife works out of berths 6 and 8 at Marina Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje, with a fleet of five vessels: the catamaran White Paradise, the sailing yachts White Sea I and White Sea II, the catamaran Abrazo and the speedboat Demon. The programme covers dolphin and whale watching, chill out sailing trips, the run to the bahía de Masca and private nautical charters, all on advance booking.

Freebird One

A whale and dolphin watching catamaran based at Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje. Its own website sets the trip out in several formats: short runs along the Adeje coast, a mid length option and a longer crossing up to Masca and Los Gigantes, with pick up available from the north of the island as well. Two further catamarans from the same operator complete the fleet.

Tenerife Surf Point - Surf School

A surf school on Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina in Playa de las Américas, Arona, a few metres back from the water. It teaches small group classes from age fourteen, semi-private and private sessions and dedicated courses for children, plus surfskate and seasonal camps. There is no need to bring your own kit: boards and wetsuits come with the lesson. It also runs equipment rental, board storage, a shop and changing rooms with showers.

Royal Delfin Catamaran

Royal Delfin Catamaran sails from Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje for whale and dolphin watching along the south-west coast of Tenerife. The vessel carries sixteen panoramic windows below the waterline and a submerged viewing compartment, and specialist guides on board work in Spanish, English, German and French. The longest crossing includes a swimming stop in the bay of Masca. Places are booked online or by telephone.

Finca Las Margaritas Banana Experience

A working farm at Guaza, in Arona, southern Tenerife, growing Canarian bananas since 1977. The visit walks the plantation and the avocado and mango plots, and ends with a tasting of the farm's own produce. This is real agrotourism, a holding that still produces, not a set piece.
