Eden Catamaran
Eden Catamaran runs whale and dolphin watching trips from Puerto Colón in Adeje, in the south of Tenerife. Its catamaran, which holds 50 people, sails about three miles offshore, where a colony of pilot whales lives all year round, and on the longer trip it anchors in a bay for swimming and snorkelling. The company was founded in 2003 and works with the Atlantic Whale Foundation.

Eden Catamaran S.L. was set up in 2003 to offer whale and dolphin watching to visitors and residents of the Canary Islands, departing from pontoon 4 in Puerto Colón, Adeje. The shorter trip heads about three miles out from the coast to the pilot whales that live permanently in the area and can be seen all year round; on the way the catamaran passes some fish farms where dolphins often look for an easy meal. The longer trip adds a stop in a natural bay for swimming and snorkelling, with gear available on board. The boat can also be chartered for groups and private celebrations.
The company holds the Blue Flag awarded by Turismo de Tenerife, the body that regulates these activities, and works with the Atlantic Whale Foundation, which often uses its boat for surveys. It also follows a quality charter for a service that respects the animals, and its crew frees turtles found tangled in plastic or calls the relevant agency when they are injured. Since 2017 it has a second boat, the Blue Fin, for small groups of up to 7 people and sport fishing.
