2. Purpose
The Website offers a directory in which users can consult listings of businesses, places and events in the Canary Islands, and in which business owners («Advertisers») can publish and manage their own listings («Listings»), free of charge or through paid services (for example, featured listings).
Use of the Website confers the status of User and implies full acceptance of these Terms of Use, of the Legal Notice, of the Privacy Policy and of the Cookie Policy.
3. Acceptance and modifications
The User declares that they are of legal age and have sufficient legal capacity. Registration and the publication of Listings require the express acceptance of these Terms by means of the checkbox provided for that purpose.
Islas24 may modify these Terms at any time; the applicable version shall be the one published on the Website at the time of access. It is recommended to review them periodically.
4. Registration and user account
To publish Listings it is necessary to create an account by providing truthful, accurate and up-to-date data (at least name, email and password). The User is responsible for:
The truthfulness of the data provided and keeping it up to date.
The safekeeping and confidentiality of their access credentials.
All activity carried out through their account.
Islas24 may suspend or cancel accounts that breach these Terms, contain false data or are used fraudulently.
5. Publication of Listings and User content
To publish a Listing, the Advertiser must register (Client role) and verify their email address. Then, by means of the publication wizard, they provide the business data (name, category, short and extended description, contact details —phone, email, website, WhatsApp, social media—, location and geolocation, opening hours, photographs and category-specific attributes) and give their consent. The Listing is created as a draft and, after submission, is subject to prior moderation by Islas24 before publication.
The Advertiser is solely responsible for the content they publish (texts, images, contact details, opening hours, prices, etc.) and guarantees that:
The information is truthful, up to date and not misleading.
They hold the necessary rights over the images and texts published and the legal authorizations to carry out the advertised activity.
The content does not infringe the rights of third parties or the applicable legislation.
Prohibited content. It is not permitted to publish content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, that infringes intellectual or industrial property rights, personal data of third parties without consent, spam or advertising unrelated to the declared activity.
Content license. The Advertiser grants Islas24 a free, non-exclusive license, for the territorial scope of dissemination of the Website, to store, reproduce, adapt the format of and publicly communicate the published content, for the purpose of displaying it in the directory and promoting it (including the Website's social media). This license ends upon the withdrawal of the Listing, except for cached or backup copies.
Moderation. Islas24 reserves the right to review, edit the format of, not publish or withdraw any Listing or content that, in its judgment, breaches these Terms or the law, without this giving rise to any right to compensation.
6. Featured Listings and paid services
Currently, the «Featured» listing status is assigned on an editorial and free basis by Islas24; there is no contracting or online payment on the Website.
In the future, Islas24 may offer paid services (for example, featuring a listing, greater visibility or advertising). In such a case, prior to contracting, clear information will be provided on the price, duration, method of payment, billing and renewal, and specific Purchase Terms shall apply which will include, when the client is a consumer, information on the right of withdrawal (or its legal exception) and access to the European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform. Until the activation of such paid services, these Terms do not give rise to any financial obligation for the User.
7. Intellectual and industrial property
The structure, design, code, trademarks, logos and content proper to the Website belong to Info-Arte or to third parties who have authorized their use. Their reproduction, distribution or transformation without express authorization is prohibited. The content provided by Advertisers is their responsibility in accordance with clause 5.
8. Liability
Islas24 acts as a directory and intermediation platform: it does not directly provide the advertised services nor does it guarantee the accuracy, validity or quality of the Listings published by the Advertisers, or the relationships that the User establishes with them.
Islas24 shall not be liable for: (i) errors or omissions in the content; (ii) the temporary unavailability of the Website; (iii) damages arising from the use of the Site or from the transmission of viruses, despite adopting reasonable security measures.
9. Links to third parties
The Website may contain links to third-party sites. Islas24 assumes no responsibility for their content or their privacy policies.
10. Data protection
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy of the Website.
11. Duration and termination
The relationship is of indefinite duration. The User may unsubscribe and request the deletion of their account at any time by writing to info@islas24.info.
12. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of disputes, the parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the owner's domicile, unless the applicable consumer regulations provide for another jurisdiction.
In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version shall prevail.
