Gran Azul Tours
Gran Azul Tours runs guided sea kayak and snorkelling trips in Palm-Mar, in the south of Tenerife, in small groups along the Acantilado de Guaza, where dolphins and sea turtles may be spotted. The trips are led by Laia, who has lived in Tenerife for 18 years. All equipment is included and no previous experience is needed. Private trips, kayak and SUP rental, sea meditation, a coastal hike and reiki complete the programme.

Gran Azul Tours' main activity is a two-hour sea kayak route along the coast of Palm-Mar, with snorkelling stops beside the Acantilado de Guaza, a protected area that is home to dolphins, sea turtles and tropical fish. It is designed for families, couples and groups with no previous experience, although participants must be able to swim and the recommended minimum age is seven. The kit includes a single or double kayak, wetsuit, mask and snorkel, water shoes, an approved buoyancy vest and a dry bag, and every trip starts with a briefing on safety and kayak handling. Lockers and changing rooms are available.
On the private version, Laia, a kayak guide and reiki therapist, takes out just one couple, family or group of friends, adapts the pace and the stops, and includes photos and video of the trip. Experienced paddlers can rent a double kayak or a stand-up paddleboard and head out without a guide from a calm stretch of Palm-Mar. The programme is completed by a guided meditation on a SUP or kayak, a two-and-a-half-hour hike through La Rasca to a volcanic natural pool, and Usui Tibetan reiki sessions and training for people and pets. In bad weather the trip is moved to another date.
