Mirador de La Cancelita is in Los Barros, in the municipality of El Paso on La Palma. The Caldera de Taburiente National Park visitor guide gives it as the end of the Lomo de las Chozas - Mirador de la Cancelita route, a trail that skirts the northern slope of Pico Bejenado past pine forest, rock walls, springs, ravines and scree, with views into the interior of the Caldera.
The route starts at 1289 metres and ends at the viewpoint, at 552 metres, after 8.6 kilometres. On the final stretch the pine forest thins out and the path runs between prickly pears and almond trees beside a water channel. Between Paso Malo and La Cancelita the path is often narrow with sheer drops, so the guide does not recommend it to people who suffer from vertigo.
