Circular trail through one of the best-preserved laurel forests of La Palma, in the municipality of Puntallana in the island's north-east.
The short route is a loop of about 5 kilometres and roughly 2 hours, low difficulty, starting from the car park at the Environmental Information Point; linking up with longer paths extends it to around 12 kilometres. It is suitable for children and older walkers and can be hiked all year round.
Highlights include the evergreen forest of faya and Canarian heather, a 25-metre barbusano tree, a historic water channel and the views from Somada Alta.
