Mirador Llano de Las Ventas
Mirador Llano de Las Ventas is an astronomical viewpoint in the municipality of Breña Baja, on La Palma, standing at around 1,320 metres and looking out over the island's eastern coast. It is fitted with a marker post that points to the Pole Star, a planisphere for locating the main circumpolar constellations, and several interpretive panels. It belongs to the island network of sixteen astronomical viewpoints.
Mirador Llano de Las Ventas stands in the municipality of Breña Baja at around 1,320 metres, and from it opens a wide panoramic view of the eastern coast of La Palma. The viewpoint has a marker post pointing to the Pole Star, a planisphere that helps locate the main circumpolar constellations, and a number of interpretive panels.
It belongs to the island's network of sixteen astronomical viewpoints, a route designed for observing the solar system from different vantage points and taking in different stars. La Palma is recognised as a Starlight Destination and its sky counts among the cleanest on the planet, protected by the Sky Law and by the astronomical protection law covering the observatories of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias.
