Mirador Astronómico del Llano del Jable
Volcanic-sand plateau in El Paso, one of the best spots on La Palma for stargazing.

Llano del Jable is a broad expanse of volcanic sand and picón among pine woods, in the municipality of El Paso, at high altitude. Its clear horizon and lack of light pollution have made it a very popular place for astronomical observation.
Freely accessible, it is ideal for seeing the Milky Way and meteor showers on an island certified as a Starlight Reserve. Warm clothing and a red-light torch, to protect night vision, are advisable.
