Mirador de La Sorrueda
A viewpoint over the Sorrueda reservoir and its palm grove, one of the most photographed landscapes in southern Gran Canaria.

The Mirador de La Sorrueda looks out over the Sorrueda reservoir, in the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, in southern Gran Canaria. From its terrace the view opens over the reservoir and, above all, over the broad grove of Canary palms growing along its banks, which, when the water is high, mirrors on the surface to create a scene very characteristic of the island.
All around unfolds a landscape of ravines and volcanic crags tied to the aboriginal history of the area, with the nearby Fortaleza de Ansite as a landmark. It is a favourite spot for watching the sunset and for nature photography, with easy access from the road that makes it simple to stop and enjoy the panorama.
