Museo Naval - Barco de la Virgen
Naval museum housed in a replica of Columbus's ship Santa María, devoted to La Palma's maritime history.

Known as the Ship of the Virgin, this naval museum occupies a concrete replica of Columbus's flagship, the Santa María, built on the Alameda square. It is one of the most photographed symbols of Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The tour through the ship's hull, with panels in several languages, tells of the importance of the sea, trade and emigration in the island's history. Its link to the procession of the Virgen de las Nieves ties it to some of the island's most cherished traditions.
