Playa de Charco Verde
Black-sand cove with calm water near Puerto Naos in western La Palma, ringed by volcanic cliffs and banana groves, with fine sunsets.

Charco Verde beach lies on the western coast of La Palma, a step from Puerto Naos in the municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane. It is a black-sand cove of about 150 metres, sheltered amid volcanic cliffs and banana groves, with generally calm water.
It has wooden access ramps, showers and toilets, a parking area and even a small cave and a shrine to explore nearby. It is one of the most cherished beaches of western La Palma, especially at sunset, though it is wise to watch the surf when returning to shore.
