Hotel Hacienda de Abajo
A restored 17th-century sugar hacienda, now an adults-only luxury rural hotel surrounded by banana plantations in the sunny Tazacorte valley.
Hotel Hacienda de Abajo occupies a former 17th-century sugar plantation, completely refurbished, in the historic centre of Tazacorte on the island of La Palma. It comprises four buildings arranged around an interior garden, the estate's former orchard.
Its 32 rooms, ranging from 32 to 74 m², are decorated with works of art from the 1st to the 20th century, including 18th-century French tapestry and 17th-century paintings. A lush botanical garden completes the setting.
Dining options include El Sitio, a signature-cuisine restaurant with Atlantic Ocean views, La Salita for market cuisine, and a pool cocktail bar, along with the El Sitio viewpoint set in the tower of the old hacienda. Facilities include a heated pool and a spa.
