Bodegas Tajinaste
Winery of the Valle de La Orotava appellation in La Perdoma, with vines trained in the traditional braided cordon, tastings and walks among the vines on volcanic soil.

Bodegas Tajinaste is a family winery in the Valle de La Orotava, in the north of Tenerife, part of the Valle de La Orotava Denomination of Origin. It was founded in 1977 as a generational handover within the García Farráis family, and some of its oldest Listán Negro and Listán Blanco vines were planted around 1914. In part of its vineyards it still uses the cordón trenzado, a very old vine-training system typical of the valley.
It makes around seventeen wines from native varieties such as Listán Negro and Listán Blanco. Its main labels are the traditional Tajinaste red and the dry Tajinaste white, while the rest are very limited micro-productions; among its reds, «CAN», made from Listán Negro and Vijariego Negro, stands out. Part of its output is exported to mainland Spain and to wine shops in New York, and its reds have reached restaurants of chef José Andrés.
