Mercado de las tradiciones
Mercado de las Tradiciones is held in the Casa del Coronel, a stately house in the village of La Oliva that belonged to the colonels and that Pedro Manrique de Lara turned into his own residence in 1840. It now brings together growers and craftspeople from across the municipality around zero-kilometre produce: fruit and vegetables, cheeses, handmade jams, olive oil, bread, aloe vera, goat and pork meat and fresh fish.
Mercado de las Tradiciones occupies the Casa del Coronel in the village of La Oliva. The house belonged to the colonels and in 1840 Pedro Manrique de Lara made it his personal residence; today it houses the market. La Oliva council describes it as a reference point for buying zero-kilometre produce in the municipality, both for residents and for visitors who make their way to the village.
What is on sale comes straight from production sites in the area, most of it handmade and organic: fruit and vegetables, several varieties of cheese, handmade jams, olive oil, bread, aloe vera, goat and pork meat and fresh fish. Alongside the food there are crafts, paintings and accessories. The official tourism portal presents the market as an initiative to invigorate local trade and create a meeting place.

The market's own website describes the building as semi-abandoned, with a single fruit stall still working out of the 18 it once housed.
