Barracuda Perdomo
Barracuda Perdomo is a family boat excursion business set up in 2015 by a local family of fishermen. It works out of Corralejo, in the municipality of La Oliva, and its trips leave from the town sports marina towards Isla de Lobos, fifteen minutes away by boat. The range takes in catamaran outings, cetacean watching, sport fishing, a Zodiac mini-cruise and a water taxi.
Barracuda Perdomo was born in 2015 out of the drive of a local family of grandparents, parents and fishermen, and today it runs sea excursions from Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura. Its fleet brings together a motor catamaran, a sailing catamaran fitted with solar panels, a Zodiac and an inflatable banana, with the safety equipment and the insurance required by the island harbour authority. The company tourist information office stands on Calle Iglesia in Corralejo, and trips meet at the sports marina.
The catamaran outing sails around Isla de Lobos, with the volcano and the natural caves in view, and anchors off Playa de la Concha, where snorkelling, kayaking and paddle surfing are on offer; there is a bar on board and paella is served. The cetacean trip follows the channel between southern Lanzarote and northern Fuerteventura in search of whales, dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales, using a boat authorised by the Canary Islands Government with a blue flag. Outings can be shared or private, and transfer from the accommodation is arranged with advance notice.
