Mercado Agrario de Fuerteventura
The Mercado Agrario de Fuerteventura, which the island Cabildo runs under the name Mercado Agrario de la Biosfera, is held every Saturday on the second floor of the Estación de Guaguas, the bus station of Puerto del Rosario, on Avenida de la Constitución. It gathers farmers, livestock keepers and food artisans from across the island, who bring their own produce straight to the customer.

The stalls cover garden produce, artisan bakeries, cheesemakers, eggs, a fishmonger, oil and prepared goods such as mojo sauces and jams, along with plants from local nurseries. Seasonal fruit and vegetables, queso majorero, gofio, honey, artisan bread and island wines are part of the offer. The Cabildo presents the market as a way of bringing local produce closer to the consumer and promoting zero kilometre consumption.

Its parts were ordered from London and reached the city aboard the steamer Nubia in 1897, and in 1947 the structure was dismantled in the city centre and rebuilt in this neighbourhood. The market's own website describes the building as semi-abandoned, with a single fruit stall still working out of the 18 it once housed.
