Casa Credente
A restaurant in La Laguna that describes itself as 100% gluten free and calls its kitchen a safe space. Every day they make their own bread, pizzas and stuffed pasta, both fresh and dried, and they build on Canarian produce such as green plantain and sweet potato. The result includes dishes like sweet potato pizza bases, green plantain pasta and an avocado tiramisu.

Casa Credente starts from a simple idea: eating gluten free should not mean giving up pizza, pasta or bread. That is why almost everything is made in house and every day, from the doughs to the stuffed pasta, fresh and dried alike. The kitchen looks to the Canarian pantry, with green plantain and sweet potato as base ingredients, and the result is doughs and pastas you will not find in an ordinary pizzeria, plus desserts such as the avocado tiramisu.
If you want to keep eating this way at home, there is Credente Market, the restaurant's online shop. It sells gluten free pasta and flours, frozen bread, croquettes and pizzas with home delivery, a handy option for anyone who lives on the island or stays for a longer spell.
