Mirador Piedra de la Rosa
Roadside viewpoint at kilometre 22.5 of the TF-21, on the climb from La Orotava towards Teide. It pairs a clear view of the volcano with the rosette shaped basalt formation behind its name.

Mirador Piedra de la Rosa sits at kilometre 22.5 of the TF-21, on the section that climbs from La Orotava towards Teide. From its western terrace the volcano stands clear ahead, and on days of good visibility the outline of La Palma appears as well. The site is laid out in two distinct parts: the platform facing Teide, and a lower section reached through a pedestrian tunnel that passes underneath the road.
That tunnel leads to the feature the viewpoint is named after, the Piedra de la Rosa: a basalt outcrop with columnar jointing whose columns fan out into a shape resembling a rose. It is an unusual geological motif and one of the most photographed stops along the Teide road, and it sets this viewpoint apart from the others on the same climb. There is a parking area and an interpretive panel explaining the formation. Accessibility is only partial and there is no bus stop at the site, so arriving by car is effectively the only option.
