Mirador de La Bermeja
A viewpoint on the TF-21 road, the route that climbs from La Orotava towards Teide National Park. It grew out of a small rest area and was opened in 2014 by the island council of Tenerife together with the town council of La Orotava. The balcony looks out over a broad stretch of mountain woodland that the island council has been replanting, and interpretive panels explain how the area was reforested.

Mirador de La Bermeja overlooks the TF-21, the road that links La Orotava with Teide National Park. It began as a small rest area and was opened in 2014 by the island council of Tenerife and the town council of La Orotava, at a ceremony attended by the president of the island council, the environment councillor and the mayor of the town. From the balcony a broad stretch of mountain woodland comes into view, an area where the island council has carried out replanting work, so that the landscape on display is itself the result of that effort.
The work on the site included building a footpath, with ground preparation, a base and running layer and low walls marking its edges, along with protective railings, improved stone paving and the installation of tables and interpretive signs. Those panels set out how the area was reforested after the 2010 storm, which destroyed a large number of radiata pines, and how they were replaced with monteverde species. The mayor of La Orotava described the place as an open classroom facing the Orotava valley, intended as much for residents and students as for visitors.
