Mirador de La Garañona
Viewpoint inside the town centre of El Sauzal, above the cliffs of the Acentejo coast, looking down on Playa de La Garañona, with a bar-cafeteria and parking.

Mirador de La Garañona sits practically inside the built-up centre of El Sauzal, right beside the TF-423 road, and is signposted from the middle of the village. From its balcony you look out over the cliffs of the Acentejo coast and, directly below, Playa de La Garañona. An interpretation panel explains what is in view. It is a short stop, easy to fit into a drive along the northern coast, and it requires no walking at all, because the road runs right up to the viewpoint.
It has a bar-cafeteria with a terrace, its own car park and access for people with disabilities. There is no bus stop nearby, so the practical way to arrive is by car along the TF-423. Bear in mind that the balcony looks straight out over the cliff face, with the beach lying at its foot. As it stands within the town centre, the rest of what El Sauzal offers is within walking distance.
