Faro de Punta de Jandía
Lighthouse from 1864 at the southern tip of Fuerteventura, in Pájara, home to the interpretation centre of the Parque Natural de Jandía.

The Faro de Punta de Jandía stands at the southernmost point of Fuerteventura, in the municipality of Pájara, one kilometre from the settlement of Puertito de la Cruz. It was inaugurated on 1 December 1864 and has a conical tower of 19 metres, with the focal plane 33 metres above the sea. Since 2009 it has housed the interpretation centre of the Parque Natural de Jandía, whose exhibition covers the geology of the park, its land flora and fauna, and the seabeds of the south of the island.
Access is from Morro Jable along some 20 to 22 kilometres of dirt track, with a recommended speed of 20 to 25 km/h. The area is very exposed to the wind and has heavy swell, and it is worth checking the state of the track before setting out.
