Museo Histórico Militar de Canarias (Fuerte de Almeyda)
Military history museum in the 18th-century Fuerte de Almeyda in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with rooms of flags, weapons, uniforms and dioramas.

The Museo Histórico Militar de Canarias is a state museum run by the Spanish Army and housed in the Fuerte de Almeyda, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The fortress, built on the former Huerta de los Melones beside the mouth of the Almeyda ravine, held artillery batteries from the 17th century onwards, so the building itself is part of the interest of the visit.
Its display brings together around 1,200 items out of the nearly 3,000 in its holdings, spread over more than 900 m² of rooms. The tour covers the military history of the Canary Islands through plans and models recreating various military actions, a section devoted to the maritime front and collections on the different periods of the archipelago's defence.
