Iglesia de la Concepción
The oldest church in Santa Cruz, with five naves.

The mother church of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción is the oldest church in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and one of the first built on the island after the conquest. The present building, from the 17th and 18th centuries, has five naves and features Mudéjar ceilings and a striking white tower that has become a symbol of the city. Inside it houses the Cross of the Conquest that gives Santa Cruz its name.
