Sendero Pico Bejenado (desde Mirador de la Cumbrecita)
Climb to Pico Bejenado, a summit overlooking the Caldera de Taburiente, starting from the Cumbrecita viewpoint.
Pico Bejenado is a mountain within the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, in the heart of La Palma. The route starts at the Cumbrecita viewpoint and climbs a well-traced trail through Canary pine to the summit, with demanding stretches and marked gradients.
From the top opens one of the island's most impressive panoramas: the huge amphitheatre of the Caldera de Taburiente, its vertical walls, the Aridane valley and, on clear days, the sea of clouds below the ridge. It is an out-and-back route of high difficulty, highly rated for its visual reward.
