PR-LP 6 Marcos y Cordero - Los Tilos
Trail to the Marcos y Cordero springs that passes through thirteen tunnels carved into the rock down to the Los Tilos forest.

This emblematic trail in northeastern La Palma starts at Casa del Monte and descends toward the Los Tilos forest following the water channel of the Marcos y Cordero springs, in the green heart of the island. Its most famous stretch passes through thirteen tunnels carved into the rock — one of them 347 metres long — where aquifer water drips down, so a torch and waterproof are advisable. The route runs through lush laurel forest, waterfalls and ferns, one of the best-preserved woodlands in the Canaries. A long, moderately challenging route often tackled with a 4x4 taxi up to Casa del Monte; it is wise to check the tunnels' opening status before setting out.
