Vive La Palma Tour Experience
A kayak excursion operator working the coast of Tijarafe, on La Palma, setting out from Porís de Candelaria. The main route paddles to Cueva Bonita, a cave that can only be reached from the sea. The guides are from La Palma and know the shoreline at first hand. Wind and swell are assessed before every departure, and the route is adapted to the state of the sea on the day. There is also a sunset variant.
Vive La Palma Tour Experience runs kayak outings along the shoreline of Tijarafe, on the western coast of La Palma. The starting point is Porís de Candelaria, and from there the main route paddles to Cueva Bonita, a cave reachable only from the sea. The way passes cliffs and houses wedged into the rock, a volcanic landscape that reads differently from the water than it does from land.
The operator presents its guides as islanders who live on La Palma and know it at first hand, and makes sea conditions an explicit part of the method: wind and swell are assessed before setting out, and the itinerary is adapted to the state of the sea on the day. The activity is open from the age of five, on the condition that every participant can swim. Alongside the main route there is a sunset variant, which paddles towards Cueva Bonita as the sun drops over the cliffs of Tijarafe and includes a snack on the way back, and a surprise hiking route whose destination the guide chooses. The company also arranges experiences for agencies, tour operators and independent guides.
