Fly2fun Tenerife runs paragliding flights over the north of the island from a base in Puerto de la Cruz. The Izaña take off sits between kilometres 33 and 34 of the TF-24 road, at 2300 metres above sea level, and the descent is usually a gliding flight down to the coast that opens with the Teide in full view. The pilot, Marco, comes from Italy and has logged more than 25,000 flight hours.
The company works from three separate take off areas. The second sits in the northern part of the municipal area of Los Realejos, at roughly 765 metres, where 420 square metres serve as the launch ramp and preparation area. Flights are led by Marco, an Italian pilot born in 1971, who started flying at the age of 24 and has logged more than 25,000 flight hours. The experience includes a high definition video shot with professional equipment, insurance cover for participants up to the age of 70, and hotel transfer in the north of Tenerife to the take off site. Comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear such as hiking boots or trainers are recommended. The company flies only in suitable weather, so a booking may be moved to another date for reasons outside its control.
