Tour en buggy por el Teide desde Puerto de la Cruz
A guided route of about three hours driving a buggy up to Teide National Park, with stops at La Caldera and Ramón Caminero, a pass by the Siete Cañadas and a climb to 2150 metres at the foot of Teide. Hotel pickup in Puerto de la Cruz, protective gear and a tasting of snacks and drinks at the end are included.
The activity starts with pickup at your hotel in Puerto de la Cruz and a minibus transfer to the start of the route. There the safety rules are explained and you try the buggies in a practice area before setting off. The route follows tracks lined with vegetation that contrasts with the almost desert-like landscape of the high ground, up to the first stop at La Caldera, an old volcano with rock formations, and then a break at Ramón Caminero.
Next the route enters Teide National Park, heads for the Siete Cañadas and climbs to 2150 metres at the foot of Teide, where there is time for photos. The descent follows different tracks and, back at the starting point, there is a tasting of snacks and drinks before the drive back to the hotel. The whole outing takes about three hours.
Drivers must be over 18 and hold a valid driving licence; a photocopy or photo of the licence is accepted, but bringing the original is recommended. Children can ride as passengers in an adapted seat: in the two-seat buggy they must be at least 120 cm tall, and in the four-seat buggy at least 3 years old. There are buggies for 1, 2, 4 and 6 people. Minibus transport, a guide who speaks Spanish and other languages, the buggy and a protective jacket, mask and gloves are included. It is not wheelchair accessible and pets are not allowed.
