Aqua-Marina is a PADI 5 Star IDC dive centre in Playa de las Américas, operating since 1999. It works with small groups and a strict no-touching, no-feeding policy underwater, and its staff have more than a hundred years of combined experience in diving and speak four languages. The range runs from the PADI Discover Scuba Diving try dive and snorkelling trips to the Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, specialty, Divemaster and instructor courses, plus TecRec technical training and a refresher programme for divers who have been out of the water for a while.
Boat dives are made from a 7.5-metre rigid inflatable moored in the harbour at Los Cristianos, five minutes from the centre by minibus, and the dive sites are spread around the southern tip of Tenerife and up the west coast as far as Playa Paraíso. Underwater there are volcanic rock formations, caves, wrecks that have become artificial reefs, green turtles, rays and, in winter, angel sharks. The centre also runs shore dives to places the boat cannot reach.
