The Nuestra Señora de África market, known in the city as La Recova, is the reference municipal market of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Inside you find stalls of fruit and vegetables, fish landed on the nearby coast, butchers, cheesemongers and counters of Canarian honey and mojo sauces, alongside food bars run by young local traders. A recent refurbishment modernised the building without erasing its old recova character.

Inside, fish, meat, fruit and vegetable stalls sit alongside tapas counters and small restaurants.
