Mirador Degollada de las Yeguas
Viewpoint over the Fataga ravine, in southern Gran Canaria.
The Mirador de la Degollada de las Yeguas looks out over the Barranco de Fataga, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, at around 470 metres above sea level. From its terrace a wide view opens over the ravine, its slopes dropping towards the south of Gran Canaria with the coast of Maspalomas in the distance. You reach it by car along the GC-60 road linking Fataga with the coast, and there is parking next to the interpretive panels. It is also one of the island's best known astronomical viewpoints, thanks to the quality of its sky, with close to 300 clear nights a year.
