Playa del Matorral
Long golden-sand beach in Morro Jable, next to the lighthouse and salt marsh.
Playa del Matorral runs along the south of Fuerteventura in Morro Jable and is one of the longest and busiest beaches on the island. Its wide strip of pale sand, warm and calm waters and the protected salt marsh behind it, watched over by the Morro Jable lighthouse, make it a much-loved spot. It flies a blue flag and has a quieter naturist section at one end.

Playa de Puntalarga
Playa de Puntalarga is a small bay on the coastline of Fuencaliente de La Palma, about a hundred metres long and twenty metres wide, with a mix of sand and callao pebbles. Small rocky outcrops shelter it from the sea and the swell stays moderate. A natural rock pool lies right beside the beach, and the whole corner is ringed by fishermen's huts, with fishermen often at work there.
