Playa de la Pared
A surf beach on the west coast of Fuerteventura, at La Pared, known for its cliffs, dark sand, and celebrated sunsets.

Playa de la Pared opens onto the west coast of Fuerteventura, within the municipality of Pájara, at the point where the island narrows between the windward north and the leeward south. It is a broad beach of dark golden sand, framed by reddish cliffs that fall toward the ocean and give it a rugged character quite unlike the turquoise coves further into Jandía.
Facing the open Atlantic, it catches steady waves that have made it a landmark for surfing, especially for those who already have experience. The same currents and swell call for caution from swimmers, above all on days of heavy sea. As the afternoon fades, the sun sets right in front of the beach, one of the reasons many visitors make their way here.
