Playa Chica
A sheltered cove in Puerto del Rosario, the capital of Fuerteventura, perfect for family bathing and snorkelling in calm water.
Playa Chica, also known as Playa del Pozo, is an urban golden-sand beach in the heart of Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura), right by the seafront promenade. It is about 130 metres long and 10 metres wide, and its waters stay very calm thanks to the breakwater that shelters it.
The beach has stair and ramp access adapted for reduced mobility, a lifeguard tower, showers, public toilets, shaded areas and free-to-use parasols. It has flown the Blue Flag since 2015, and restaurants, terraces and the Las Rotondas shopping centre are just metres away. Popular events such as the carnival sardine burning take place on its sand.
