Xplore Tenerife Kayaking and Biking
An outdoor activity base in Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, a seven-minute walk from the bus station. The programme combines guided sea kayaking with snorkelling, with kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids, mask and snorkel, wetsuits in winter and dry containers supplied by the operator, and guided electric mountain bike rides through Teide National Park. Places are booked through the website.
The kayak and snorkelling outing runs all year round. Participants must be able to swim, need a reasonable level of fitness and must be at least fourteen years old, with a limit of one hundred kilos per person. Turtles and dolphins may show up along the way, depending on the state of the sea.
The electric mountain bike route covers around twenty-five kilometres on tracks inside Teide National Park, in small groups of up to eight riders. It includes a full-suspension e-bike, helmet, gloves, a guide working in Spanish and English, insurance and a van transfer from Los Cristianos. Riders are expected to be confident on a bike and aged between fourteen and seventy.
