No experience is needed: there is a short introduction before setting off, all the equipment is included and groups are kept small.

Shaka Kayak y Sup Tenerife is the excursion centre of Shaka Surf School, a surf school based in Playa de Las Américas that has been teaching surfing in Tenerife for more than two decades, with instructors certified by the Canary Islands Surf Federation. This centre, a few metres from the beach in Los Cristianos, focuses on kayaking and SUP, and its guides speak several languages.
The kayak and snorkel trip follows the Los Cristianos coastline past sea caves and volcanic cliffs, with Montaña de Guaza as a backdrop, and stops to snorkel over a seabed full of fish; with luck, turtles or dolphins appear, always watched with respect for their space. The SUP outing starts with the basics on the sand and continues across the calm waters of the bay. Neither requires previous experience, the kayak or board, life jacket, paddle and snorkelling gear are included, and groups are small.
