Tenerife Mana Kayak
Tenerife Mana Kayak is a small family-run outfit based in Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, running kayak trips combined with snorkelling. The route follows the Los Cristianos cliffs as far as the spot the company calls Lovers Cave, and by its own account there is a good chance of seeing dolphins and turtles along the way. Instructors hand out the gear and cover the basics before the group sets off.
The trip starts at the meeting centre a short walk from Los Cristianos beach, where there are changing rooms, toilets, water and fruit. Once the group is together, the instructors hand out all the equipment, run through the safety rules, talk about the area and its wildlife, and cover the basics of kayaking and snorkelling before anyone reaches the water.
The paddle follows the cliffs to Lovers Cave and includes a stop for snorkelling. Anyone who would rather skip that can swim or stay on the kayak instead. A snack is served at the stop, and more drinks and snacks are waiting back at the centre. Drinking water is provided throughout, but every participant is asked to bring a reusable bottle, part of the company's stated effort to cut single-use plastic.
