Poseidon Surf Academy
A surf school in Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura, within the municipality of La Oliva. It works with small groups of no more than six students per instructor and picks the quieter periods at the surf spots so that lessons run more comfortably. The school offers single sessions and packs of several lessons, as well as surfcamp formats that combine the sessions with accommodation.
Poseidon Surf Academy teaches surfing in Corralejo, at the northern tip of Fuerteventura, within the municipality of La Oliva. The school's approach turns on group size: no more than six students per instructor, on the premise that each person should get the attention needed to learn and progress. To that it adds the choice of quieter periods at the spots, so the activity unfolds with more safety and more comfort.
Lessons can be booked individually or in packs of three, four or five sessions, and there is also the surfcamp option, which combines several lessons with accommodation. In every case the school supplies the full kit, meaning wetsuit, board, leash and booties, along with transport from Corralejo to the beach, accident and public liability insurance, and photographs and video of the session. Water and fruit are handed out during the break. The north of the island also lends itself to related activities that the school keeps on its programme: surfskate, DrySurf, indoboard, physiotherapy and yoga.
