Planet Surfcamps - Fuerteventura

Planet Surfcamps Fuerteventura sits in Corralejo, in the north of the island, a former stronghold of smugglers and pirates. The surf house stands some two hundred metres from the beach, five hundred from the surf spot and from the town centre, and a hundred from the skatepark. Accommodation is split between two, four and eight-bed rooms and private apartments, and the packages combine five, seven or fourteen nights with four, five or ten days of tuition, meals included. The founders come from the Canaries and build their offer on that close knowledge of the terrain.

Lessons are given by qualified, multilingual instructors in groups of no more than eight, who head out to a different spot each day: from beginner ground such as the beach at El Cotillo to the more demanding waves of the Northshore. Courses include theory sessions, surf equipment is at the students' disposal on teaching days, and a photographer goes along with the groups to capture their best waves. Out of the water there is yoga, skating, snorkelling, cycling and walking routes, horse riding, billiards, table tennis, a barbecue and trips to the island of Lobos. The camp can be booked all year round, from the age of eighteen, with at most forty-two surfers in the house.
