PADI 5* Travel Sub Dive Center Tenerife
Travel Sub is a PADI 5 Star IDC dive centre in Puerto Colón harbour, Costa Adeje, housed in the Escuela Náutica building. It runs PADI courses at every level, from a first try dive through to instructor training, and organises guided dives for certified divers, snorkelling outings and private charters. Groups are kept small and divers board straight from the quay, without carrying tanks down to the boat.
The centre has occupied one of the oldest diving bases on Tenerife since 1999, in the heart of Puerto Colón and less than a hundred metres from its boats. It runs three speedboats fitted out for diving, with ladders, emergency oxygen and first aid kits on board. Beuchat equipment is used throughout, the team is multilingual, and beginner activities are staffed with one instructor for every two participants.
Try dives start from the age of eight, snorkelling from five and the Discover Scuba Diver programme from ten, while certified divers have recreational dives, specialities and the full professional ladder up to instructor level. Outings head for the southern sites: volcanic reefs, the Palm Mar cave and the El Condesito and Le Meridian wrecks, with turtles, rays and angel sharks. A watch but do not touch rule applies, and the centre joins seabed clean-ups.
