Maco Yacht – Whale Watching & Dolphin Tour Tenerife - Costa Adeje
Maco Yacht runs sailing trips out of Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje to watch whales and dolphins in the wild off the south of Tenerife. Two formats are offered: a shared outing in a small group of no more than eleven people, and a private trip with exclusive use of the boat. A local skipper is on board in both cases, and the sailing includes a stop for swimming and snorkelling.
The route runs along the Costa Adeje shoreline and approaches coves such as Cala de Diego Hernández, with cetacean watching as the point of the outing. The company itself states that these waters hold resident species such as the calderón tropical, the short-finned pilot whale, all year round, alongside dolphins. The stop out at sea sets aside about thirty minutes for swimming and another thirty for snorkelling.
Drinks, fruit, snacks, sandwiches and a meal are served on board. Maco Yacht describes itself as a nautical services company with more than twenty years behind it, and says it follows the official rules on responsible cetacean watching. Places are limited, and booking is handled directly through the company's own website, without intermediaries.
