The Mercado del Agricultor of San Miguel de Abona brings together farmers, stockbreeders, bakers and craftspeople from the Chasna-Isora district in southern Tenerife. It has been running since 15 July 2000 in the Las Chafiras industrial estate, next to the fire station. The central hall holds 66 stalls, and the site has a cafeteria, a children's playground and generous parking. Selling imported produce is not allowed here.

Its parts were ordered from London and reached the city aboard the steamer Nubia in 1897, and in 1947 the structure was dismantled in the city centre and rebuilt in this neighbourhood. The market's own website describes the building as semi-abandoned, with a single fruit stall still working out of the 18 it once housed.
