Secluded natural pool on the coast of Buenavista del Norte, in the Teno massif area.
Hiking area at Teno Alto, in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, inside the Parque Rural de Teno. The town council describes a route here that runs mostly along tracks with an almost imperceptible gradient and takes about an hour and a half, passing the hamlet of Los Bailaderos, threshing floors with an aventadero, goat pens, rock cut cisterns and a tile kiln. The descent of the Barranco de Masca is a separate route with regulated visits.

The Centro de Visitantes de Masca, the visitor centre of the hamlet, stands close to the plaza of La Piedra and holds the information on the village and on the Parque Rural de Teno. It is also the gateway to the camino del barranco de Masca: the access check is carried out here, bookings and documents are verified, and staff lend out the helmet that is returned at the end of the route.
The camino del barranco de Masca descends a canyon in the Parque Rural de Teno, in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, cut into volcanic rock by water. It runs about 5 kilometres one way, rated high difficulty, over rocky ground with ramps and steps. Access is regulated: advance booking is compulsory, so is the collective transfer from Santiago del Teide, and the walk ends by boat or kayak from the Masca cove.
