Mirador Altos de Baracán
Viewpoint on the ridge of the Teno massif, on the TF-436 road towards Masca, in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte on Tenerife.

The Mirador Altos de Baracán looks out from the ridge of the Teno massif, at kilometre 12 of the TF-436 road, on the highest part of the stretch between Las Portelas and Masca, within the municipality of Buenavista del Norte. From here the Barranco de Los Carrizales, the cone of Montaña de El Palmar and the El Palmar valley can all be seen at once.
Its position on the watershed shows the climatic break between the northern and southern slopes with unusual clarity, with sun on one side while drizzle falls on the other. There is a built parking area, a bus stop and interpretive panels, although accessibility only reaches certain points. The spot is windy and cooler than the coast, so a windbreaker is useful at any time of year.

Mirador de Izcagua
Mirador de Izcagua stands in the El Pinar area of Puntagorda, in the north-west of La Palma, right beside the Mercadillo del Agricultor farmers' market. The website of the La Palma Biosphere Reserve presents it as a set of floating viewpoints: walkways edged with glass railings that reach out over the ravine and give a sensation of flight. It is reached by car from the village centre heading north, along the camino del Pinar.
