Free 24 hour viewpoint over the volcanic amphitheatre and black shore of El Golfo, inside Los Volcanes nature park.
Mirador El Golfo looks out over the shoreline of the village of El Golfo, in the municipality of Yaiza, inside Los Volcanes nature park. From the top you see the great amphitheatre of a volcanic cone eaten away by the sea, with the black sand coast of south west Lanzarote beyond. It is one of the most reproduced images of the island.
Access is free and open 24 hours, with parking beside the road, so the stop fits easily into a drive around the south west. With more than 4,200 reviews and 4.6 stars it is among the busiest viewpoints on Lanzarote: by mid morning there are usually cars and tour groups, while early in the day it stays much quieter.
