Mirador de Femés (Balcón de Femés)
A viewpoint in the mountain village of Femés, at 361 m in the Ajaches massif, overlooking Playa Blanca, the Papagayo coast and the strait towards Fuerteventura.

The Mirador de Femés, also known as the Balcón de Femés, looks out from the small mountain village of Femés, in the municipality of Yaiza, at around 361 metres in the Ajaches massif, the oldest geological formation on Lanzarote. From this natural balcony the view opens over the valley descending towards the south of the island, with Playa Blanca in the distance, the golden coves of Papagayo and, across the strait of La Bocaina, the silhouette of Fuerteventura cut against the Atlantic.
The village, one of the highest and most traditional on Lanzarote, keeps its chapel, whitewashed houses and a rural atmosphere that contrasts with the bustle of the coast. The viewpoint is a starting point for hiking routes through the Ajaches and an essential stop on any island drive, especially at dusk, when the light turns the volcanic mountains golden and the sea melts into the horizon.

Mirador de Izcagua
Mirador de Izcagua stands in the El Pinar area of Puntagorda, in the north-west of La Palma, right beside the Mercadillo del Agricultor farmers' market. The website of the La Palma Biosphere Reserve presents it as a set of floating viewpoints: walkways edged with glass railings that reach out over the ravine and give a sensation of flight. It is reached by car from the village centre heading north, along the camino del Pinar.
