Museo LM Arte Colección
The Museo LM Arte Colección occupies a traditional Canarian house from the second half of the eighteenth century, on calle Obispo Rey Redondo in the historic centre of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. It opened on 23 December 2021 and shows the body of Canarian and international art assembled by Luz Marina Lorenzo, a collector born in La Palma, which runs to close on six hundred pieces.
The house was built around the second half of the eighteenth century on one of the main streets of the historic centre of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. It is laid out around a U-shaped central courtyard, with a hallway that keeps its tiled dado and hydraulic floor tiles, a glazed gallery on the upper floor and restored tea wood joinery. The façade comes from the 1903 remodelling by the architect Antonio Pintor.
Between 2017 and 2019 the building was refurbished under José Miguel Márquez Zárate and adapted for museum use with three new rooms. The collection follows Canarian art from local workshops of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries to the twentieth, with work by Óscar Domínguez, Manolo Millares, Martín Chirino, César Manrique and Cristino de Vera. Guided and school visits are arranged by prior booking.

The rooms open onto a courtyard with wooden galleries, and the collection is shown in the very spaces it was gathered for. Easy to reach on foot, since most of the historic centre is pedestrian.
