Castillo de Santa Bárbara - Museo de la Piratería
Fortress atop the Guanapay volcano beside Teguise, housing a museum devoted to the history of piracy in Lanzarote.

The Castillo de Santa Bárbara is a fortress built on top of the Guanapay volcano, in the Villa de Teguise (Lanzarote), to defend the island against pirate raids. Today it houses the Museum of Piracy.
Its exhibition is devoted to the history of piracy and the corsair attacks that Lanzarote suffered. Thanks to its elevated position over the volcano, it offers panoramic views of the surroundings and of the historic centre of Teguise.
