The longest urban beach in Puerto del Carmen, with a seafront promenade, Blue Flag and calm water.

Islas24

Playa Grande is the main beach of Puerto del Carmen and the longest in the resort, with over a kilometre of golden sand and calm water. It has a Blue Flag, lifeguards, sunbeds, umbrellas, showers and toilets, and the whole seafront promenade behind it, full of restaurants, bars and shops.

It is an urban, comfortable and well-connected beach, with parking nearby. Perfect for combining a quiet swim with a stroll, a terrace and resort atmosphere at any time of day.

Did you know? Before tourism took off, Puerto del Carmen was a modest fishing village known for centuries as La Tiñosa.

Playa Blanca (Puerto del Carmen)

Playa Blanca is one of the two main stretches of sand at Puerto del Carmen, in the municipality of Tías, and it should not be mixed up with the town of the same name some twenty kilometres further south, in Yaiza. Fine golden sand, a south facing shore and usually gentle water, because the island itself screens the coast from the north easterly trade wind. Behind it runs Avenida de las Playas, the promenade that links the resort's beaches.
