Pola Oloixarac will talk about new ways of building identity, desire and the challenges of contemporary fiction, in a conversation on how stories today engage with technology, digital culture and the changes transforming the way we understand the world. The talk is moderated by writer Carlos Battaglini, director of the Festival de literatura de Lanzarote, who will go through her career and influences with her. Born in Buenos Aires in 1977, she is a novelist and essayist, author of «Las teorías salvajes», «Las constelaciones oscuras» and «Mona», and her work, translated into many languages, explores the links between technology, science, politics, philosophy and culture.
The conversation takes place at the Centro Cívico El Fondeadero, Calle Lanzarote 1, in Puerto del Carmen (Tías). It is organised by the Asociación Cultural Picón Narrativas. Admission is free with prior registration at www.fdll.es. The talk is on Thursday 5 November 2026 at 19:30.
